With the 29th of March fast approaching and with no clear deal or extension to Article 50 yet agreed we would remind policyholders that if the UK is to leave the EU on the due date without a deal that anyone considering traveling abroad in the remaining EU countries will be required to carry a green card.
The Financial Conduct Authority has recently reminded the industry that whist they do not regulate the issue of green cards they do have a role in ensuring insurers meet their obligations to pay regard to the information needs of their customers.
You may therefore find the guidance issued by the ABI (see link) relevant in the event of a no deal Brexit and how this will affect anyone traveling abroad by car.

Please note that Green Cards may be invalid if they are not the correct colour or format.
